Simply put:

Energy Therapy is a set of practical healing techniques, based on well-established energy based therapies, applied to our emotional and psychological lives.  Our bodies' subtle energies, such as the acupuncture system for one, are a missing link in our traditional approaches to psychotherapy.   When these parts of our nature are included in the process, emotional healing is much more rapid and complete.  It works like this:

When we are in emotional distress, or blocked, or in any negative state, there is a parallel disruption in one or more of our energy systems.  Very often just talking about and understanding our distress, insight alone, though helpful, doesn't change how we actually feel

Energy Therapy corrects energetic disruptions and imbalances, strengthens weaknesses, and re-organizes energetic patterns that hold negative states in place. 

When those corrections are made, there is a positive flow of energy that allows more positive feelings and capacities.  It actually diminishes or eliminates your emotional distress and psychological blocks and strengthens your positive feelings and abilities so you can enjoy your life more and move toward your goals.

Does this mean we don't take the time to be aware of what we feel and to understand where we are coming from?  Does this mean we don't value the insights that come from allowing ourselves to move through the process?  Absolutely not!   In fact doing the energy work helps in accessing the insights and understanding that are such an important part of the healing process.
